The Christmas Wedding - James Patterson

So, I decided to check out James Patterson's, The Christmas Wedding, in the hope of catching a bit of the Christmas spirit in the lead up to the big day, while also relaxing.

It was a quick easy read about a widowed mother of four, who decides to get re-married to one of three men.  However, she is the only one who knows who she is marrying!  Her main objective is to get all of her children and grandchildren together for the event, because it has been three years since her husband passed away, which was when they were last together.  The groom is finally revealed at the alter.

It was a sugary story, that had a lot of characters (which were sometimes hard to keep track of).  It is certainly a fictional work, because the three poor suitors would never be as relaxed or willing to let a woman hold all of the cards like Gaby did.  There is no bitterness or tension, except from one of the daughter's husband.  Personally, the book lacked depth, however, it is a light-hearted read that will help you escape the stress of the silly season.

If you have read it, please leave your comments.
